August Is Almost Over…
And I’m feeling a little blah-di-blah.
It’s almost time to move. Again. Still in the Ra-cha-cha. But different.
The big news of this month is the new family addition. Her name is Stella. And she is fierce. At least her ass is. The girl can peel paint from a wall. But she is damn cute. And super sweet. She was found with two brothers by the side of the road in a box. Not by me. I got this story second hand from the place I adopted her from. But still, considering what she’s been through, she’s all smiles. Me, I’d be pissed. My sister always told me that she found me in a garbage can and felt sorry for me so she plucked me out. But yeah, a box on the side of the road? Disgusting. How can you leave this by the side of the road?:

I mean you could probably justify leaving the one on the right in a box by the side of the road. But that other one’s face. It could melt a polar ice cap faster than China’s emissions can. And no, her eyes aren’t really Etco-Cooler green. It’s just a crappy camera.
On the writing front I’ll almost finished with a story. Almost. Not a long one. But still. News to come.
The Yankees pork. And because of that I’m depressed. What will be the fall without Yankees playoff baseball? I just don’t know.
I’m on an Affliction kick. Which is saying a lot, because pretty much ever since I had to start paying for my own clothes I’ve had a $10 rule. The rule is simple. Anything over $10 is too much. Of course there have been exceptions. Mostly for shoes. But only slightly. It’s amazing, when you put a cap on what you’re willing to spend, the bargains you find are like winning mini-lotteries. Only instead of someone else paying you you’re still paying them. But yeah, I bought one Affliction shirt for way more than $10 and once I put it on I was hooked. They’re uber-comfortable. And soft. And made in the USA. Go figure. Wal-Mart used to say all of their products were made in the USA. But then they were exposed like the Wizard of Oz. Maybe Affliction will be too. But I don’t care. In this regard I’m vain. Sue me. I’m five shirts in and I’ve already got the crack head shakes.
Ok, time to go. “Black Betty” is playing and I cannot pass up the opportunity to dance like a window-licker with Stella to this.
